Non-woven abrasion-resistant Geotextile (RIGIDD 1100)

Rigidd 1100 TEFAB railroad ballast layer noise reducing

The TF RIGIDD 1100 is specially designed for demanding civil projects, where it is continuously exposed to abrasive forces from surrounding materials.

This geotextile is the result of a state-of-the-art and patented manufacturing process, leading to excellent abrasion resistance and outstanding filtration properties. The geotextile is commonly used in railroads to reduce contamination of the ballast layer and extend its service life.

Made of 100% virgin polypropylene, it offers a life expectancy of 100 years according to EN 13250. The geotextile is also resistant to acids, bases, hydrolysis, oxidation and microbial attack.

The TF RIGIDD 1100 comes out undamaged from the "Vibrogir" tests in SNCF laboratories in France. This difficult test shows that the water permeability (EN ISO 11058) of the product is still at +/- 95% of the initial value after the test. Therefore, the TF RIGIDD 1100 has been accepted by the SNCF for use as a geotextile for separation/filtration for use under ballast layers.
