Natural Ground Cloth
TEFAB's anti-erosion fiber mats are geotextiles manufactured from 100% biobased (regrowable) raw materials possibly with a jute fabric. These include coconut mats and fabrics, jute, straw and hemp. This type of geotextile is commonly used in surface erosion control, in the construction of embankments on weak soils, for the temporary reinforcement of road pavements and for temporary separation and drainage of surfaces. Fiber mats can be used to protect surfaces threatened by erosion more quickly, naturally and easily.
Depending on the application, the natural geotextiles may have been improved by (bio)treatment. The materials are soil-degradable or (industrially) compostable and thus leave no residue in the soil.
