LDPE & HDPE
Polyethylene, also called polyethylene in the industry, is one of the world's most widely used plastics. It comes in two varieties: Low Density (LDPE) and High Density (HDPE). LD has a different molecular structure than HD and is therefore also lighter and more flexible.
LDPE film is extremely suitable for covering contaminated soil and is also used for temporary storage of liquids from contaminated soil. Also, LDPE can be welded (factory-made) as a custom tarpaulin for larger areas, for ebb and flow systems in horse boxes and for (temporary) water collection systems. LDPE is available in thicknesses from 0.5 to 1 mm.
HDPE is commonly used as a separation layer and it is used as protective film and water supply sites. HDPE does not absorb moisture, is even moisture repellent and can be used at temperatures from -30°C to +80°C.
Features & benefits
LDPE film:
- Easily bendable and moldable for various applications
