Geogrid 3030S

The Geogrid 3030S is with fixed nodes is manufactured from polypropylene sheets in which a pattern of holes is punched using the extrusion method, followed by stretching in both directions under controlled temperature, to achieve the tensile characteristics of the material.

The Geogrid 3030S is used for ground stabilization under roads, marshalling yards and airports, for example. The openings between the fixed nodes allow granules to lock into the perforated structure (interlocking), enabling effective reinforcement and confinement of the soil. Geogrids exhibit low elongation and will allow little deformation when installed and used so that rutting is minimized.

Using the geogrid can reduce the thickness of the backfill material and increase the bearing capacity of the underlying soil material.

In combination with a Non Woven (a fleece), the grid as a Geogrid composite, in addition to its reinforcing function, also offers a separation and filtering function. We are talking about the Geogrid 3030C.
