Anti-erosion mat A20
Where more extreme bank protection is desired, the Enkamat A20 can be used. This three-dimensional pre-filled geosynthetic textured mat has an open structure and is filled with a bitumen-bonded mineral filter of stone chips. The mat provides permanent erosion protection for areas exposed to water. The textured mat can be permanently submerged and has flexibility due to its ability to move with peat soil. Thanks to the structure of the mat, grass or other vegetation can easily grow through the open spaces of the mat, quickly creating a green bank. In addition, the A20 mat provides immediate erosion protection against high water velocities and water waves.
The EnkaMat A20 mat is maintenance-free and meets all the approval requirements of the Soil Quality Decree.
Applications for A20 mat are:
- Protect banks in waterways such as canals, ditches, spillways
- Wadis where rainwater is infiltrated into the subsoil
- Protection of pumping stations and culverts
- Protection of situation where permanent water is present
